Welcome to CSoNet 2017

The 6th International Conference on Computational Social Networks (CSoNet 2017) provides a premier interdisciplinary forum to bring together researchers and practitioners from all fields of social networks such as network computing, social network/media analysis and mining for presentation of original research results, as well as exchange and dissemination of innovative, practical development experiences. CSoNet 2017 seeks to address emerging yet important computational problems with a focus on the fundamental background, theoretical technology development, and real-world applications associated with social network analysis, modelling and data mining. The conference welcomes all submissions with focus on common principles, algorithms and tools that govern social network structures/topologies, network functionalities, security and privacy, network behaviours, information diffusions and influence, social recommendation systems which are applicable to all types of social networks and social media.

A Best Paper Award will be conferred to the author(s) of a paper selected by the TPC Co-Chairs. Also, selected high quality papers will be invited for Journal of Combinatorial Optimization, IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering (pending approval), and Computational Social Networks.

The conference includes a main track and several special sessions. The scope of the main track includes (but is not limited to) the following topics:

  • Real-world complex networks
  • Social network design and architecture
  • Mathematical modeling and analysis of real-world social platforms
  • Information retrieval in social contexts, political analysts
  • Community structure detection and analysis
